Legal Enterprises

Intellectual property law is the legal framework that protects creations of the mind, such as inventions, literary and artistic works, and designs, by granting exclusive rights to their creators. This protection is enforced through various legal instruments including patents for inventions, copyrights for creative works, and trademarks for symbols, names, and images used in commerce. The purpose of IP law is to encourage innovation and creativity by allowing creators to benefit from their work, while also fostering a balance with the public interest.

Patents: Protect technical inventions and grant the inventor exclusive rights to make, use, and sell the invention for a limited period.

Copyrights: Protect original artistic, literary, and musical works, giving the creator exclusive rights to reproduce, distribute, and perform their work.

Trademarks: Protect words, phrases, designs, or symbols that distinguish the goods or services of one party from those of others, preventing others from using similar marks for related goods.

Industrial Designs: Protect the visual design of a product.

Geographical Indications: Protect marks used on products that have a specific geographical origin and possess qualities or a reputation due to that origin, such as Darjeeling tea.
